Laying on Hands

Due to the COVID19 pandemic we have sheltered and locked ourselves into our spaces, and just as we started to reemerge, we were hit with natural and man-made disasters. Storms, fires, evictions and discriminatory laws have flooded, burned, blocked, and taken away our spaces. Our spaces need care and repair.

Considering movements related to healing and caretaking, Maggie performs a virtual healing blessing with a “laying on of hands” in the space at North Willows, a space also in need of healing and mending after a difficult year. Luke 4:40 "Now when the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to him, and he laid his hands on every one of them and healed them."

To help us bring hope and support to other spaces in need of healing energy, send in images that will be overlaid with this virtual ritual. Images will be posted for the month of October and November as part of a collaboration between several artist-run spaces operated by Filipino-American artists which coincides with Filipino-American history month.
